Our Goals
In 2026-2027, our PTA is committed to enhancing student experiences through financial support for field trips and school programs, as well as upgrading outdoor spaces. We’ll continue showing appreciation for teachers and staff through parent-led volunteer opportunities and monthly incentives. Additionally, we want to continue fostering a strong sense of community by hosting family-friendly events, encouraging regular parent involvement, and offering more opportunities for parent-teacher engagement through grade-focused PTA meetings.
Financial Initiatives
Field Trips
In the 2025-2026 school year, the PTA fully funded a flagship field trip for each grade, at no cost to parents or students. This year, we aim to continue this initiative.

Outdoor Space Upgrades
The SASMS PTA is working on enhancing our outdoor spaces with the following upgrades:
Outdoor Classroom/Lunchroom: Creating a shaded seating area under the oak tree near walker pickup door. Estimated Cost: $6,000
Brick Patio: Making a brick patio in the grassy area of the playground to include shade and benches for students to rest. $20,000
These upgrades will provide students with more functional, inviting spaces to learn, play, and hydrate.

PTA Grant Fund
The SASMS PTA is excited to launch its School Improvement Grant Program for the 2026–2027 school year! A portion of our fundraising proceeds will be awarded to teachers and staff who are passionate about projects that enhance our school community. Whether it's instructional materials, classroom upgrades, or school-wide initiatives, we encourage eligible staff to apply and bring their ideas to life.
