Our Goals

In 2026-2027, our PTA is committed to enhancing student experiences through financial support for field trips and school programs, as well as upgrading outdoor spaces. We’ll continue showing appreciation for teachers and staff through parent-led volunteer opportunities and monthly incentives. Additionally, we want to continue fostering a strong sense of community by hosting family-friendly events, encouraging regular parent involvement, and offering more opportunities for parent-teacher engagement.

Financial Initiatives

Marsh-view Outdoor Classroom

Thanks to the Storm Drain Project, the city cleared a portion of brush leading to the marsh from the carpool line. We want to take advantage of this clearing by creating an immersive classroom that takes advantage of our surroundings.

Field Trips

In the 2025-2026 school year, the PTA fully funded a flagship field trip for each grade, at no cost to parents or students. This year, we aim to continue this initiative.

Outdoor Space Upgrades

The SASMS PTA is working on enhancing our outdoor spaces with the following upgrades:

  • Beautification on Playground Surrounding New Water Fountain: Last year the PTA funded a water fountain on the playground, this year we want to make the area surrounding it more attractive and functional for the students.

  • Bike Racks: We are looking to add additional bike parking to the front walker entrance.
